One of the Young British Artists to emerge in the late 1980s, Patterson’s work is steeped in British and American pop culture allusions whilst challenging the links between painting, iconography and narrative.
Alongside texts by Toby Kamps and Jeremy Strick and an interview with the artist by Martin Herbert, this signed monograph features over 150 colour illustrations of Patterson’s dynamic work.
Contained within a custom-made slipcase, the monograph also includes an editioned digital archival print, The Birth of Jan (2013). The print demonstrates the deft combination of meticulous realism with passages of abstraction seen throughout the artist's practice.
