Brian Griffiths & Frank Kent, Opening Event, 2019

Brian Griffiths & Frank Kent, Opening Event, 2019

Karsten Schubert London is pleased to announce our first exhibition in Room 2: Air Signs, the collaborative work of Brian Griffiths and Frank Kent. Air Signs is an ongoing series of sculptural works presented as photographs. Here objects from Brian Griffiths and Frank Kent’s shared studio are presented in a wooden cube, a framing device that presses objects into action and flattens three-dimensional space. The artists take an improvised approach to formally arranging objects, the resulting works of art depicting spaces that appear both imagined and ordered.

Room 2 is located in an 18th-century terraced house on Lexington Street in Soho. It was once a flat, and its unexpected setting provides an intimate domestic space to exhibit contemporary art.

Opening 14 January, this is the first time this series by Brian Griffiths and Frank Kent will be shown in London.
