Ann-Marie James: Drawing Lines

Jealous Gallery presents Drawing Lines, a group exhibition with a selection of works that aim to show the different approaches taken by artists and illustrators in creating images through the application of line to surface. The exhibition demonstrates the diversity and complexity of the medium.

Ann-Marie James shows drawings from her ongoing series Musée Imaginaire- the artist takes pages from Andre Malraux's book and transforms them with abstract pattern and gestures applied to the surfaces in ink and paint. Her finished images reanimate and rearticulate the bookplates in mysterious ways.
